Wimbledon ballot procedures 2015

  1. Applicants must be fully paid up Braid Tennis Club members for 2015/16.
  2. Applicants must be British Tennis Members. (All Braid members are entitled to free membership under the LTA ‘Places to Play’ Registration Scheme).
  3. Applicants must have opted in to the Wimbledon Ballot on the LTA website by 14 February 2015.
  4. Anyone over nine years old can apply.
  5. All club members in a household can apply.
  6. Successful applicants receive a pair of tickets. However, if you are successful you can have only one pair of tickets per household.
  7. You can apply for as many dates as you wish.
  8. Applicants are prioritised by
    1. those who applied last year and were unsuccessful having highest priority; then
    2. those who were successful last year.
  9. The ballot is prioritised as above and names are then pulled out of a hat with another committee member. Any member can request to be present at the draw. The applicant is then given the best tickets available for their preferences.
  10. The secretary puts successful applicants’ names into the Wimbledon online system. The LTA will contact you directly for payment and will subsequently send you the tickets.
  11. If you decline the tickets the Braid Secretary can re-ballot the tickets to members on the reserve list. However, if you decline tickets you may lose priority the following year subject to circumstances.
  12. A list of successful applicants will be put on the club noticeboard.

The above procedure was agreed by the Braid Tennis Club Committee on 3 August 2014.
